The East Aegean Network (EAN) project is selected under the fourth (2024) Connecting Europe Facility
November 24, 2025

We are pleased to announce that TTSA is contributing to the East Aegean Network (EAN) project, a pioneering initiative designed to substantially enhance connectivity across the Aegean Sea.
As an equity and technology partner responsible for the project’s subsea optical interconnection infrastructure, TTSA will be working closely with Wings Solutions and FiberGrid, a wholly owned subsidiary of PPC Group, and the Greek Ministry of Digital Governance to bring this ambitious vision to life.
Project Highlights:
- The cable route, extending approximately 1,300 km in length, will traverse the Aegean Sea, connecting the coastal city of Heraklion in Crete with a strategic landing point in Alexandroupolis in Thrace.
- The cable will include landing points on the islands of Karpathos, Rhodes, Kos, Ikaria, Samos, Chios, Lesvos and Limnos.
- A 190 km terrestrial cable route will extend from Alexandroupolis to Kapitan Andreevo in Bulgaria.
This initiative is among the projects selected under the fourth (2024) Connecting Europe Facility – Digital call for grant proposals, pursuant to Implementing Decision C(2024)6891, securing an EU contribution of €20 million
